Presented for the first time in September during Paris Design Week, this collaboration is taking shape with the long-awaited arrival of a new gourmet creation: the Slave log, now available in Angelina boutiques in Paris.
The collaboration was born from an inspiring encounter between Sarah Poniatowski and Angelina's pastry chef, Christophe Appert, both driven by a common quest: to create works that awaken the senses and tell a story.
The parallels between their worlds quickly became apparent. Designing an object or imagining an exceptional pastry means immersing yourself in demanding creative thinking, juggling technical constraints and finding that subtle balance between aesthetics and functionality, indulgence and precision. From these exchanges was born a unique Yule log, a true technical and artistic feat, inspired by the iconic Slave candleholder by Maison Sarah Lavoine.
This bold creation takes up the soft curves and original format of the candlestick, declined for the occasion in an elegant golden hue. Inside, a marriage of flavors as balanced as it is surprising: a light chestnut mousse, the sweetness of meringue, a tangy blackcurrant cream, and Angelina's iconic chestnut cream vermicelli. A perfect harmony between textures and tastes, which celebrates know-how and innovation.
