L'Atelier Covivio, Paris 8th arrondissement

Located in the heart of Paris, L’Atelier is a real estate complex composed of a 1920s building connected to a second building from the 1930s. The complex was initially used by a Jesuit college and was later redesigned by the architect for the Post and Telecommunications, Charles Giroud (1875-1955), to become a telephone exchange. Covivio subsequently became the owner of the real estate complex and, in 2019, initiated plans for its complete restructuring to transform it into their headquarters. The interior architecture was entrusted to Studio Maison Sarah Lavoine.

“The starting point was Covivio’s business, which had to be highlighted, but also the building itself. We also chose to create more than just a workplace, but a true living space. This tailor-made place, reflecting Covivio’s image, is a symbiosis of enduring craftsmanship, modernity, and innovation, treated with elegance and humility.”

From the entrance, the hotel lobby codes convey a sense of comfort, welcome, and service. Natural and comforting tones are accented with strong pops of color. This signature feature brings uniqueness to each space.

As for materials, the fundamentals of construction are selected: concrete, wood, stone, and brick, revealing all their qualities in unexpected shapes and combinations
